Elaine Doucette

Hi! My name is Elaine, I’m the one responsible for starting The Herbal Mama business in 2010. I became a mama as a clinical herbalist, and my small business was born. I graduated from Herbalversity in 2008 with a diploma. After acquiring over 1000 hours in clinical practice I gained the title of Clinical Herbalist (Cl.H).

After 10 years in practice, I left the Clinical Herbalist & Nutritionist world to launch into entrepreneurship- selling fermented foods and herbal remedies at Alberta Farmers’ markets! After a few years of fermenting every vegetable in sight, I became teaching others the art of fermentation at hand on workshops all over Edmonton, Spruce Grove and Creston BC.

Currently with my keen eye for design and experience with marketing a small business, I’ve become part of many Edmonton farmers’ markets as a communications and marketing, market manager. I shine in the spotlight of vendor culture, event planning, media interviews, radio and public speaking.

The Herbal Mama website is live and growing with events, fermentation workshops, detox classes, online Iridology & nutritional consultations plus local probiotic product pick up.
